Another day… Bleh :p
Classes today were kind of long. My first one didn’t start until 9:25 at least. And I think I’m going to go ahead and drop my history class. It’s not at all what I signed up for! I signed up for “Chinese women,” not “a class where we learn all about China and then read a few books about Chinese women along the way.” No. Just no. Anyway, did my homework that I had today. I fell asleep all sprawled across my desk about half way through the reading though :p
I went the the dining hall for dinner. Dinner was alright - not too big or unhealthy or anything. But some upperclassman guy stated talking to me and let me tell ya, he was probably one of the most obnoxious people I’ve ever met. No, I don’t want to get a beer with you. I just fucking told you that I have a boyfriend, you scumbag. At least he didn’t bother me while I was actually eating my dinner. Still, he was insanely annoying.Wonder how many other poor freshman girls he bugged before me? I had to text my boyfriend telling him to call me so I could make an effective getaway.
My boyfriend and I skyped when I got back to my room. Skype is great :) We were on over an hour.
I went down to the hall’s wreck room to watch some tv. While I was down there a German student came down to take a rest since I think he’s one of those on-campus patrol people or something. He was a pretty nice dude. I could tell he wasn’t a douche like the other guy because he wasn’t trying to hold some long, drawn out conversation with me, and he also asked what my name was - unlike the other guy. Anyway, I watched a couple episodes of Seinfeld before heading back to my room and getting ready for bed.
Anyways, I have a doctor appointment super early tomorrow morning, so I need to get to bed. I’m going home for the weekend tomorrow. It’s going to be so hot out :p I can’t wait to go home.
College: The road so far.
First off - what the fuck.
Today I’m in my first class about to pass the hell out because when aunt flo’s almost in town I’m more lethargic than usual. Which sucks. I am also informed during the class that in college students should be doing 2-3 hours of studying/work for a class per each single hour that they are in class. WHO HAS THAT KIND OF TIME?! I’m working an off campus job because you know, it’s nice to be able to eat, buy things like deodorant, and get gas for your car. On top of that I have work study, four other classes… HOW CAN STUDENTS BE EXPECTED TO STUDY 2-3 HOURS OUTSIDE OF CLASS PER EACH HOUR SPENT IN CLASS!? That’s insane! Does this school want me to be absolutely miserable?
